Harris® 99 is a general purpose, nickel-iron TIG (GTAW) welding rod (AC-DC) for production, salvage and repair of all cast irons.
Features
- General purpose nickel TIG (GTAW) welding rod
- Produces clean, strong, ductile deposits
- Yields smooth, even bead contours
- 70,000 psi maximum tensile strength (as welded)
- 80,000 psi maximum yield strength (as welded)
- 18% min. elongation (as welded)
- AC or DC reverse or straight polarity
- pre-heat heavy sections to approximately 400 degrees F (204 degrees C) for best results
- Used for building-up, cladding and joining cast iron to steel
