“El Campeón” part 5 of 5 of “El Toro”
With the Dodgers down 2-0 to the Yankees, Fernando took the mound for game 3 of the 1981 World Series. After giving up 4 runs in the first few innings, everyone was expecting a pitching change. Lasorda stuck with Fernando who didn’t allow another run and earned a complete game, 147 pitch, victory. The first of 4 wins in a row and the Dodgers became world champions.
Tried to keep this one simple. Classic dodger blue, white button, gold trim to represent the newly crowned world champ, and Mexican 🇲🇽 flag inspired colors throughout.
